a wild event

I love supporting local Australian designers – there is just so much creativity and fabulous ideas out there to discover! I recently stumbled across a great new initiative called The Wild Collectivea soon to be launched shopping event that combines creativity, new ideas and plenty of space for fresh inspiration. The two day event is somewhere between an exhibition/market/festival, but on an entirely new level!
 Their website describes the event as a “curated collection of hard to find high-end products that are standouts in their industry, complemented by superb entertainment.” Basically it is the perfect space to spend a day gathering inspiration, purchasing some new additions and enjoying yourself! Unfortunately, the event is so far only in Melbourne (I might need to book myself a ticket!), but hopefully it will also spread to Sydney in the near future. In the meanwhile, have a scroll through their campaign imagery, inspired by the modern whimsical fairytale – think frothy tutu’s running through the forest with bare feet. These are the kinds of contrasts founders Amy and Renee hope to bring to the contemporary shopper through this highly curated event;

“With hectic lifestyles, we know all too well that going shopping can sometimes be a chaotic stressful experience due to busy schedules or juggling so much responsibility. The Wild Collective is transforming the retail experience, celebrating creativity in all its forms.”
Have a browse through their website and check out some of the gorgeous brands on offer – Terrariums by Ella, Bijoux the Label, Little Puddles, 2Scrubs Thermomix and The Little Things is just the beginning!

Foodies will be spoilt for choice with luxurious Melbourne dessert fave LuxBite (yum!), as well as food trucks such as Round the Way and Billy Van Creamy.

Shoppers will definitely also appreciate the dedicated kids zone, giving parents the much-needed chance to relax and leisurely browse – perhaps even with a glass of champagne in hand! From homewears, to fashion to instagrammable food and everything else in between, it will be like your feed has come to life! Save the date in your iPhone now, and don’t forget to share all your lovely photos onto Instagram and tag @thewildcollectiveau.
